I've spent twenty years trying to make learning actually work.
I started Growth Engineering because most workplace training bored people and taught them nothing they could use. We built learning technology people actually enjoyed — and it won over 120 global awards. But the awards were never the point. The point was whether anyone learned.
That question led me to the science of memory, to Bloom's two-sigma problem, and to the belief behind everything I do now: you learn by doing, not by watching, and it has to be personal to work. Zavmo.ai — named Best AI Innovative Product by Training Magazine — is my go at making that personal learning work for millions.
I wrote Learning to be Human to make the case in full, and I help companies and national skills systems build it. This site is where I think out loud.
