Privacy

Privacy-first, by design

This site is built to respect you. It sets no tracking cookies, runs no advertising, and collects as little as it possibly can. Here's exactly what that means in practice.

Who's responsible. This site is run by Juliette Denny ("I", "me"). If you have any question about your data, email me@juliettedenny.com.

What I collect — and what I don't

Almost nothing, and never to build a profile of you. Specifically:

  • Visitor analytics. I use Plausible, a privacy-first, EU-hosted analytics tool. It's cookieless and records only aggregate numbers — page views, rough country, referrer — with no cookies and nothing that identifies you personally. You are never individually tracked, and nothing follows you around other sites.
  • When you contact me. If you send a message through a contact, speaking or media form, I receive what you type (typically your name, email and message). I use it only to reply to you and keep a record of the conversation. I won't add you to any list without asking.
  • When you book a meeting. The "book a meeting" tool is Cal.com's scheduling. If you request a booking, the details you enter go to Cal.com to arrange the appointment (Cal.com's privacy policy applies to that); the confirmed meeting is then added to my Google Calendar.
  • Server logs. Like every website, my host keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and the page requested) briefly, to keep the site secure and running.

I do not use advertising or tracking cookies, ad networks, or third-party profiling, and I never sell your data.

Who else is involved

A few trusted services help run the site. Each only handles what it needs to:

  • Railway & Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.
  • Plausible — cookieless analytics.
  • Cal.com — the appointment-booking widget, loaded only if you choose to use it.
  • Google / YouTube — the embedded featured video (loaded only if you play it), and my own Google Calendar behind the scenes.
  • Titan — email for my @juliettedenny.com address.
  • LinkedIn — my newsletter ("Learning Tribe") lives on LinkedIn; if you subscribe, LinkedIn's own terms apply.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Just email me@juliettedenny.com and I'll sort it. If you're ever unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

How long I keep things

Analytics are aggregate and never tied to you. Messages you send are kept only as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable record, then deleted.

Changes

If how the site works changes — for example, if I add an email newsletter — I'll update this page. Last updated: July 2026.

Written to reflect how the site actually works today. It's worth a professional review before relying on it for anything material.
